That's not true. You have the right to choose your hospice company — and to change it if something isn't working.

What most families don't know is that hospice companies vary more than you'd expect. Staffing, response times, after-hours coverage, whether there's a social worker or chaplain available — it's not the same everywhere. Before you commit, it's worth asking a few specific questions: Who responds if there's a crisis at 2am? How quickly can a nurse actually get to the house? What support exists for the family, not just the patient?
